Microsoft Windows for 64-bit Extended Systems

Adding OEM drivers to Windows Setup - Part #6, The End:

Summary:
All of the discussed tips, tricks, hacks or whatever you want to call them can be applied to Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 in 32-bit and/or 64-bit versions. So if you don't own a AMD64/Opteron based system, don't worry, because you can still use the methods discussed here.
Of course this method is not limited to the Promise S378 based SATA driver. I use this method on regular base to update storage drivers for usage in unattended installation of Servers. Anything can be 'hacked' into the Windows Setup.
If you have another third party storage driver, use this guide as a bases to built the driver into the installation source. Do yourself a favour, test this on one or more test systems and not on the system you would normally work on. It saves you a lot of headaches. You can get very very very frustrated if it doesn't seem to work and you think you did everything right, well check again 999 out of 1000 times you probably didn't.

One last note and it's a shame that I have to mention it, but:
I cannot be helt responsible for any damage, problems, frustrations as result of my guide.
